Community Shares Thoughts, Perspectives About Student Success

Community members, former and current District 34 parents, business owners and other key stakeholders of the Glenview community again came together for the second session in the Community Engagement Program held on October 2.

Titled "Defining Student Success," the program was led by Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction Beth Tsoumas and focused on how District 34 prepares students for a successful future. Following her presentation, participants engaged in a work activity where they discussed the benefits and limitations to the way the district currently measures student success and what community values are best represented or underrepresented relating to Whole Child Education.
A copy of the presentation, work activity and other related documents are below. In the coming days, we will also post the verbatim document that outlines what responses were shared by each table as well as an executive summary of overall findings from the evening.
We hope you will join us for the next session “Financial Landscape” on Tuesday, October 21!
